The L’azurde Group sponsored the awards ceremony for Arab Saudi women, which was held for the second time in the Kingdom and was organized by the ITP publishing company. The event was held in the Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh in May 2015. L’azurde’s role as an active patron of this event this year arises from a belief in the importance of the role of Arab and Saudi women across society and their valued contribution across economic, social and cultural sectors.

Mai Al Othim represented L’azurde at this event presenting an award in recognition of skilled and talented women in their fields of expertise, in the hope that they will become role models for other women.

L’azurde’s efforts to promote the role of Saudi women have given rise to a workforce which includes 250 female Saudi employees, fulfilling critical roles for the company in Saudi Arabia.

L’azurde has furthermore embraced some of the most esteemed female figures in the worlds of art and fashion. These famous and creative women have come to hold influential positions in the Arab world. For example; the Lebanese superstar and ambassador for L’azurde Elissa; the actresses Dorrah Zarrouk and Cyrine Abdel Nour; along with Alanoud Badr, also known as Lady Fozaza. 

L'azurde's expertise has made the company well-acquainted with the diverse personalities and habits of women, in order that L’azurde’s products celebrate and resonate with these unique personalities. L’azurde has set out a programme for recognizing the foremost women of the Arab world. This started with Ruha al-Muharraq, the valiant Saudi girl who has notched up  a rare achievement, locally, regionally and internationally. She was the first and youngest Arab and Saudi girl to reach the peak of Mount Everest, making her an excellent role model for Arab and Saudi women.

The famous Saudi designer Alanoud Badr – Lady Fozaza – with support from L’azurde launched the first of her diamond jewelry designs, representing her love for diamonds. This was part of L’azurde’s Dream Collection, featuring a broad range of jewelry and widening the horizons of good taste and distinction. 

The annual awards for Arab women in 2015 recognized 18 Saudi women; along with more than 250 Arab women from the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia who have been awarded to date.

L’azurde has the fourth largest jewelry factory in the world and is the largest company for manufacturing gold and jewelry in the Middle East. The Arabian issue of Forbes recognized L’azurde as being among the most prominent brands in the Arab world, according to a study conducted by the magazine.
