Four Seasons Hospitality Meets True Emirati Flavours this National Day at Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach

With the UAE’s traditional cuisine being an inseparable part of its cultural identity, Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach invites guests to celebrate the country’s rich heritage and culture through its special collaboration Emirati female restaurateur and chef, Amna Al Hashemi.

 

The gastronomic association will see Chef Amna and the Resort’s Executive Chef Gilles Arzur jointly create a special breakfast and afternoon tea menu for the Resort’s guests, featuring a spread of classic and contemporary Emirati small bites, which will be served underneath the stunning ceilings of the stylish Shai Salon and Terrace.

 

“A country’s cuisine is a wonderful way to discover its culture and heritage, and what better way to mark the UAE’s 46th National Day than through a celebration of the flavours and recipes that are at the heart of the Emirati cuisine. Our collaboration with Amna Al Hashemi represents the marriage between our legendary care and service, and the UAE’s warm and welcoming hospitality captured through its deep-rooted culinary traditions. We invite guests to join us on this appetising journey of flavours and aromas that will take them through the country’s culinary past,” said Chef Gilles Arzur - Executive Chef, Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach.

Our collaboration with Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the uniqueness of our cuisine, and give food lovers the opportunity to experience the true taste, flavours and aromas of our authentic dishes,” said Chef Amna Al Hashemi.

 

Surrounded by the waters of the Arabian Gulf on one side and Dubai’s iconic skyline on the other, guests will start their day in true Emirati style, with breakfast dishes such as the saffron-perfumed vermicelli preparation known as balaleet, prepared with soft egg omelette and mixed nuts; Khameer puffed bread served with date syrup and cheese and Dango, lemon and chilly scented soft-boiled chick peas.

 

Those looking to relax over an afternoon tea with friends and family will be spoilt for choice with a number of irresistible treats in the form of cheese-rolled dates and cardamom mohalla crepes, mini saffron coin chebab pancakes layered with dates, honey and vanilla ice cream; Emirati style creamy egg sandwiches Mulawahish, and Baidh Tumat tartlets filled with spiced tomato and eggs scramble, and topped with truffle cream cheese. Guests will enjoy topping off the delectable experience with chammi dates cooked with Emirati cottage cheese, traditional dessert khabisa triffle prepared with nuts and layered with sweet cream cheese and berries, in addition to the popular dates and honey-filled variety of the UAE’s favourite dessert lugimat.

 

The Emirati cuisine-inspired breakfast and afternoon tea menu will be served at Shia Salon and Terrace from November 30 until December 7, 2017.
