The phenomenon of ‘unboxing’ videos - where a vlogger takes a first look at a new piece of technology – has become an incredibly popular Internet genre, racking up millions of views. So when Ford wanted to reveal the all-new Edge in the Middle East, they turned to Faisal Al Saif, a popular Saudi Arabian technology vlogger and TV presenter.

The box, measuring 5 metres long, 2.3 metres high and 2.3 metres wide, was specially constructed to house Ford’s flagship Crossover Utility Vehicle. When Faisal unboxed the car, it was the first time he’d seen the vehicle, and he admitted that it was a unique experience. 

 

“I’m used to unboxing mobile phones, headphones, and gadgets, but this is the biggest piece of tech by far!” said Al Saif. “My first impression is that the new design looks fantastic - it’s a real evolution of the previous model. I was surprised just how many features are on the car and it’s exciting to be the first to get hands-on with the technology.” 

 

Ford is confident that the all-new Edge, the latest global product from the One Ford plan, will reclaim the top spot in the important CUV segment in the Middle East.
