Empower to participate at World Green Economy Summit (WGES 2017)

Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the world’s largest district cooling services provider, will participate at the fourth edition of World Green Economy Summit (WGES 2017), organised under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, set to be held during 24-25 October at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

 

“We’re very excited to participate at the upcoming WGES. At Empower, we’re trying to raise the bar on building district cooling efficiency and our participation at WGES will not only help us to spur new ideas, but also shape the industry by presenting information on the benefits of district cooling technology,” said  Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower.

 

Empower’s participation in the proceedings of the summit will focus on the deep rooted advantages of district cooling solutions. Empower will also highlight its innovative solutions and unique business models which will offer attendees a one-of-its-kind educational experience on district cooling technology. In addition, Ahmad Bin Shafar, the CEO, will also highlight green building solutions, policies, plans and latest research findings on district cooling solutions.

 

“District cooling has gained a lot of momentum in the past few years. Our participation at WGES will offer us an opportunity to encourage public to adopt district cooling solutions and provide information on cutting-edge technology, projects and solutions that help in energy conservation. Events like WGES not only help to increase public awareness, but also set the agenda for public debate and positive action,” added Ahmad Bin Shafar.

 

Empower’s will continue its efforts in developing  district cooling solutions that represents the organisation’s commitment to create a green and clean economy making UAE the green capital of the world. The company is always keen to apply latest systems and technology in district cooling, which is one of the most important pillars of the transition to a green economy, due to the huge demand for cooling services within Dubai and the UAE that take major share of energy consumption especially during the summer.

 

 

“We are committed to the district cooling sector globally through the adoption of initiatives by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and several international organisations. We participate in major international energy events in order to review the latest technologies and techniques in the field of district cooling and have a close look into the industry’s expertise,” emphasized Bin Shafar.


Empower will share a range of district cooling solutions at the mega event. The company will also offer new, flexible approaches to incorporating district cooling technology into public and private projects that support economic growth while preserving natural resources and protecting the environment.
