On 24 March 2018, Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa invites all UAE residents and visitors to take part together with thousands of people and hundreds of organisations around the world to ‘Earth Hour’, a worldwide movement organized every year by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to turn off non-essential electric lights for one hour as a symbol of commitment to the planet.

On the day, Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa celebrates ‘Earth Hour’ by presenting various activities to its guests and visitors to mark this special global day and raise environmental awareness. On Saturday, 24 March 2018 from 8:30pm to 9:30pm, families and couples are welcome to choose their favourite restaurant with its specialised cuisine, whether Indian at Masala, International cuisine at Al Forsan family friendly restaurant or Italian delicacies at Le Dune and enjoy their dinner on the lights of candles spread in the cozy indoor seating of every restaurant or in the al fresco terrace under the stars of Dubai. Furthermore, Dubai’s best sunset spot Al Sarab Rooftop Lounge presents to all its guests throughout this day, three special ‘Earth Hour’ beverages, including ‘Blackout martini’ cocktail and ‘Green Hour’ mocktail to celebrate this occasion in style.

For all Dubai fitness and meditation enthusiasts’, Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa offers a health and environment friendly activity to celebrate Earth Hour in a different way - ‘Yoga under the stars’. Al Forsan family-friendly all-day dining restaurant offers extensive dinner buffet in indoor or al fresco seating (opens daily for breakfast at 6:30am-11:00am, for lunch at 12:30pm-3:30pm and for dinner at 6:30pm – 11:00pm). Children until 4 years enjoy complimentary dinner and children aged 5 to 12 years old enjoy a 50% discount.
