EARTH HOUR CELEBRATION IS BACK AT ‘THE MEYDAN HOTEL’

 The Meydan Hotel welcomes UAE residents and visitors to celebrate ‘Earth Hour’, a worldwide movement organized every year by the ‘World Wide Fund’ for Nature (WWF) to turn off non-essential electric lights on 24 March 2018 for one hour as a symbol of commitment to the planet.

 

On Saturday, 24 March 2018, hotel guests and visitors spending ‘Earth Hour’ from 8:30pm to 9:30pm at The Meydan Hotel, are invited to choose one of two complimentary retreats offered on the day, whether live piano tunes at the hotel lobby or live Oud music at Millennium Lounge terrace, to encourage their participation in switching off the lights and support this environmental initiative.

 

For the luxurious indoor ambience fans, The Meydan Hotel lobby, decorated with candles to celebrate Earth Hour in style, offers live piano tunes, complimentary dates and Arabic coffee together with a once-in a life time opportunity for guests to take pictures of Dubai World Cup trophy, which remains at the lobby until ‘Dubai World Cup’ taking place on 31 March 2018.

For a more relaxing atmosphere under the stars of Dubai, The Millennium Lounge terrace decorated with candles and overlooking the majestic Meydan race course, offers its guests complimentary Arabic coffee and dates, while listening to the live tunes of the Oud player.

 

On this day, Dubai foodies are invited to choose their preferred dining experience out of four prestigious culinary venues and enjoy candlelit dinners among families and friends. From PRIME fine-dining steakhouse with outstanding view of Dubai’s race course and extensive menu featuring the finest cuts of premium beef from around the world to family-friendly restaurant Farriers with its extensive dinner buffet, offering its exclusive Saturday BBQ Terrace night, one of seven theme nights including Caribbean, Indian, International, Arabic, Far Eastern and Seafood nights, taking place throughout the week to cater everyone’s taste.

Chinese and Japanese cuisine enthusiasts will enjoy mouthwatering delicacies at Shiba restaurant while interacting with Japanese Chef Masakazu Mikuriya and Chinese Chef Bing Xia at their dedicated live-cooking stations. 

Moreover, Qube Sports bar, famous for its 21 screens for live broadcast of major sports events, invites its guests to enjoy Earth Hour in a unique way. Guests will play their favourite game out of a range offered at Qube, whether billiard, shuffle board, football tables or darts boards on the lights of the candles, while enjoying delicious bites selected out of the extensive snacks, burgers and sandwiches menu.

PRIME fine-dining steakhouse restaurant offers an extensive meat, seafood and poultry menu, overlooking Meydan racecourse from the 5th floor (opens daily from 7:00pm – 11:30pm)

Farriers family-friendly all-day dining restaurant offers extensive dinner buffet in indoor or al fresco seating overlooking Meydan racecourse (opens daily for breakfast at 6:30am-10:30am, for lunch at 12:30pm-3:30pm and for dinner at 6:30pm – 11:30pm). Children until 4 years enjoy complimentary dinner and children aged 5 to 12 years old enjoy a 50% discount.

Shiba restaurant offers Japanese and Chinese specialities featuring sushi, sashimi and dim sum in indoor or al fresco seating overlooking Meydan racecourse (opens daily from 7:00pm – 11:30pm)

Qube Sports Bar offers an extensive food and beverage a la carte menu e featuring breakfast, salads, snacks, burgers, sandwiches, grills (opens daily from 12:00pm – 2:00am).
