Dubai Customs wins Arabia CSR Awards under Public Sector Category

Dubai Customs won the first place in The 11th cycle of the Arabia CSR Awards under the Public Sector Category in recognition of its efforts that demonstrate outstanding leadership and commitment to corporate sustainability. The award, organised by the Arabia CSR Network, saw the participation of more than 800 organizations representing 31 sectors from 13 Arab countries. 

Using the application process, Dubai Customs has been able to upgrade itd CSR and sustainability practices and brought it into alignment with international standards and best practices. 

Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs expressed his pride for winning this award which is seen as the Arab region’s own benchmark in CSR and sustainability. 

Commenting on this Khalil Saqer bin Gharib, Director of Corporate Communication Department said: “We are proud to have won the first place in theArabia CSR Awards against a heated competition from big organisations in the region. This reflects our commitment and dedication towards CSR, which we believe is a duty on us to give back to our community. With this in mind, we launched 106 social and voluntary initiatives between January and September, and the number is expected to go up to 125 initiatives by the end of the year.

Bin Gharib pointed out that winning CSR award means the department is on the right path towards fulfilling its duties and vision of becoming a world leading department not only in terms of facilitation of international trade but also as a socially responsible department that advocates philanthropy and compassion.
