Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate’s dedicated entity for culture, arts and heritage, has honoured its team that participated in ‘Gov Games’ first edition, in the presence of His Excellency Abdul Rahman bin Mohamed Al Owais, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Dubai Culture & Arts Authority; Saeed Al Nabouda, Acting Director General of Dubai Culture; the Authority’s advisors Dhaen Shahin and Dr. Salah Al Qassim; and a number of employees from the Authority.

Dubai Culture’s internal sports committee supported the Authority’s ‘Gov Games’ team by preparing them for the competition and providing different sports equipment. Moreover, the committee also organizes internal competitions or the participation in various external tournaments and competitions.

‘Gov Games’ was launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, as a first-of-its-kind government competition that promotes creative collaboration and reinforces team spirit among public sector employees.

Dubai Culture aims to enhance Dubai’s cultural scene and draw attention to the Emirate’s rich heritage with a variety of initiatives that take place throughout the year. The Authority’s mandate is to build bridges of constructive dialogue between different civilisations and cultures through enriching initiatives that benefit the Emirate’s citizens, residents and visitors.
