Celebrate the UAE National Day the Emirati Way

In just a few weeks, on 2 December 2017, the UAE will unite once again to celebrate UAE National Day. The 46th anniversary of the union of the seven emirates will be commemorated at Dalma Mall with enthralling live entertainment and fun activities for the whole family, starting on the 28th of November.

The main attraction of this year’s celebration will be the live performance by Arabic music sensation, Hamdan Al Bloshi. As a talented Khaleeji artist and social media celebrity with over 27 million YouTube views and 868K Instagram followers to his credit, Al Baloshi will definitely be a big hit with the whole family when he performs on the main stage on the 1st of December. Fans won’t want to miss out on this rare opportunity to see the star live in concert for free between 7pm and 10pm!

Visitors to the mall will be treated to an authentic Emirati experience at the Mini Heritage Village. This exotic den of arts, crafts and cuisine will celebrate our rich and diverse culture with traditional Emirati activities. The village will include calligraphy, basket weaving, and Falcon Man booths, to name but a few. The Emirati Bagpiper Band Parade will fill the air with beautiful melodies as these talented musicians march through the mall attired in traditional UAE costume. Dalma Mall will also showcase the works of talented Emirati artists with an Art Hub Exhibition under the name of “Memory of UAE.”

For those who want to become a part of the “Spirit of Union” fanfare, Dalma Mall has something really special. On the 1st and 2nd of December, mall visitors will compete in a national anthem singing contest to see who can sing with passion and enthusiasm for the UAE. This unique competition will provide members of the public, both kids and adults, with a stage on which to sing Ishiy Biladi (Long Live my Nation) with pride. A special decibel meter connected to the microphone will determine which contestants sang with the most passion, volume and clarity. The lucky winners of this competition will be presented with Dalma Mall Gift Vouchers to reward their perfect pitch and patriotism.

For the little ones, the Kids’ Activity Corner will provide hours of educational entertainment on the evenings of 30th November, 1st and 2nd of December. After its immense popularity during last year’s National Day celebrations, the Kids’ Activity Corner will return to actively engage youngsters with novel activities to test their creativity and logic, grow their imaginations, develop their fine-motor skills and midline crossing, and boost their confidence!

There’s no better place to be this UAE National Day than Dalma Mall, where the fun is plentiful and free to the public.
