Celebrate Baisakhi New Year at Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa

Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa, one of the Heritage recognized hotel brands, located in cultural district of Bur Dubai, invites residents and visitors to celebrate Baisakhi New Year at the award-winning Mumtaz Mahal Restaurant from April 14 to 20, 2018.

 

One of the most popular festivals celebrated in India especially in the states of Punjab and Haryana, Baisakhi, also known as Punjabi New Year or Sikh New Year is one of the major Sikh festivals which is celebrated with full enthusiasm and fun.

 

This year, the culinary team of Mumtaz Mahal Indian restaurant has prepared an assortment of vegetarian and non-vegetarian traditional Punjabi cuisine to celebrate the week-long festival. Enjoy delicacies such as Nimbu Khire Da Salad, Dhai Bhalia, Kukad De Tikkey, Tangdi Jalandari, Akha Pindah, Chaap Adraki, Jhinga Punjabi, Machli Amritsari, Makai Da Kebab, Paneer Pakora, Patiala Saag Gosht, Keema Kaleji, Saryon Da Saag with Makke di roti, Pindi Chole, Kadi Pakori, Mah Di Dal, Dhaba Dal Fry, along with Pinjab special  Lassi da Glass  and Masala Chaas in Kullad. Finish the meal with the delicious desserts such as Gajrella, Raj Bhog, Rabdi.

 

Entertainment will be provided by a Live Sitar during lunch and at dinner time, Punjabi live singing and dancing within the comfort of our elegantly decorated restaurant will make the evening most wonderful especially when spend with your family and loved ones.

 

The festival of Baisakhi has tremendous religious significance for the predominant Sikh population of the state as it is was on a Baisakhi Day in 1699 that Guru Gobind Singh - the revered Tenth Guru of Sikhs laid the foundation of Khalsa Panth. The festival is usually celebrated on April 13, but once in every 36 years the festival is celebrated on April 14. Key highlights of the Baisakhi celebrations are the performance of the traditional Bhangra and Gidda dance and the special langar served at Gurudwaras.
