UAE travellers transferring or staying in Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific will now be able to enrich their experience with the benefit of complimentary tours and special offers provided by the airline and the Hong Kong Tourism Board.

 

‘Experience Hong Kong’s highlights’ allows travellers to discover new flavours, sights and memories through selected experiences and special discounts that have been curated to provide a more meaningful and rewarding journey.

 

Transiting passengers, with a period of 3 to 24 hours between their flights, can either take advantage of a complimentary Airport Express same day return ticket to Hong Kong city centre, or one of three themed experiences. Those in search of vistas  and culture can enjoy ‘360 Transit in Lantau’, which encompasses discounted tickets for a round-trip cable car (with express boarding) and entrance to three themed attractions including Stage 360, Motion 360, and ‘Walking with Buddha’, starting from AED 65, a saving of 64 per cent.

 

Fans of everything Mickey Mouse and friends will be able to enjoy a whistle-stop tour of Hong Kong Disneyland with either the ‘Flash Visit Hong Kong Disneyland’ or ‘Relax at Disneyland Walt’s Café’. The first, inclusive of a one-day park ticket to the theme park, provides travellers with a saving of more than 50 per cent, with tickets starting from AED 185 per person. Those wishing for a magical culinary adventure can enjoy either lunch or afternoon tea at Walt’s Café for only AED 105, a saving of 60 per cent. Each Disney experience includes a round-trip shuttle transfer from the airport.

 

Catering to extended-stay (three to seven nights) cultural seekers, history buffs, and hop-on-hop-off travellers, Cathay Pacific and the Hong Kong Tourism Board have created a menu of four complementary excursions that take in the best of what Hong Kong has to offer. ‘Hop-on, Hop-off Open Top Bus Sightseeing Tour’ consists of a one day ‘Classic Ticket’, including a Star Ferry ticket, sampan ride, and choice of Peak Tram Sky Pass or admission to the sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck; ‘Deluxe Hong Kong Island Combo’ provides passengers with a Deluxe Hong Kong Island tour, a one-way Airport Express ticket from the airport to Hong Kong or Kowloon, and a 1GB three-day pre-paid SIM with 25 minutes of local airtime.

 

The other two options delve into Hong Kong’s culture with tours of the city’s hidden gems. ‘Old Hong Kong Experience’ takes visitors on an Old Town Walking Tour in Central and a Dukling Harbour Tour, whereas ‘Kowloon Cultural & Life Tour’ provides a guided tour of Hong Kong’s erstwhile industrial district turned gourmet neighbourhood, with pick-up and drop-off at the Hyatt Regency Tsim Sha Tsui Hotel.

 

Eligible Cathay Pacific passengers will receive an email to select one of the special offers or complimentary tours when they have booked flights through the airline’s website, www.cathaypacific.ae, or mobile app. The same day transit promotion is available until 30 June 2018, when booked before 31 May 2018. Extended stay guests must book by the end of February for travel until 31 March 2018.
