Bab Al Qasr Hotel Hosts the UAE-Iraq Trade & Investment Forum

Bab Al Qasr Hotel, Abu Dhabi’s newest and most iconic address played host to the prestigious UAE-Iraq Trade & Investment Forum.

 

The event witnessed the creation of a joint business council that will work towards raising the level of economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two nations. The contribution of UAE’s investments to Iraq’s non-oil sectors is projected to play a pivotal role in the restructuring and rebuilding of Iraq’s economy.

Furthermore, the two parties were able to address the challenges that may be faced by UAE companies and investors wishing to penetrate the Iraqi market and offered clarity on the country’s investment laws and procedures that could simplify the process.

 

The Forum was attended by His Excellency Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, the Minister of Economy, Engineer Mohamed Shia al-Sudani, the Iraqi Minister of Industry and Minerals, Abdullah Al Saleh, the UAE Ministry of Economy’s Under-Secretary for Foreign Trade and Industry, Mohammed Thani Murshid Al-Rumaithi, Chairman of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Juma Al Kait, Assistant Under-Secretary for Foreign Trade Affairs at the UAE Ministry of Economy. Other officials from the Ministry of Economy and the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as members of the Iraqi delegation, were also present.

 

Murshed Al Shamsi, Bab Al Qasr Hotel’s Director of Protocol said in a statement, “It was an honour to host this prestigious event at Bab Al Qasr Hotel. The team was able to deliver traditional Arabian hospitality to the VIP’s both international and local.”
