Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of the Emirate of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) launched a Smartphone application “Visit Ajman” at the 10th Ajman Government Forum held to celebrate the accomplishments of the Emirate’s departments in 2016.

At the forum, ATDD staff headed by HE Faisal Al Nuaimi, General Manager of ATDD showcased the achievements during 2016 and the attendees expressed their admiration and appreciation for all the efforts done by the departments.

Among the achievements in 2016 by ATDD were the first CitySightseeing buses in Ajman, the Ajman logo for promotional identity, the Ajman cycling event RIDE Ajman participated in by amateurs and professionals, the Liwa Ajman Dates Festival, as well as the launch of the website “Ajman.travel” to promote the Ajman’s identity, in addition to the Reading Year initiative. The department also successfully participated in the Arabian Travel Market, World Travel Market - London, and ITB Berlin. It also received ISO 10002 - 10004 measuring customer satisfaction, and complaints and suggestions system, and the launch of Ajman visitor’s guide in Braille language.

Finally, The Ajman Tourism delegation crowned their achievement by announcing the launch of the Smartphone application service “Visit Ajman”, which has been designed and developed to be a fundamental gateway for tourism in the emirate. The application provides the latest news of the tourism industry in the emirate, as well as a detailed guide for the hospitality industry, culture, heritage, travel agencies, and touristic events and activities in Ajman and much more.

Commenting on this, Mr. Mohammed Al Balushi, head of the department’s institutional support and the project said: "The aim of the project is to develop a smart application for the tourism in Ajman to become one of the best touristic applications, and to achieve the strategic objectives of the department on the sustainability and quality of the tourism field, in addition to promoting of the emirate of Ajman, and increasing the number of visitors.

HE Faisal Al Nuaimi, also added: "Ajman Tourism is proud to launch these initiatives during 2016, and we are pleased to announce that the application Ajman Visit is now accessible to everyone through their social media and smart applications, and it is addressed to residents and expatriates alike, regardless of their interest in the emirate. We hope to raise awareness about the emirate of Ajman, a unique destination with various exciting experiences so we encourage everyone to download the application.”

The application has user-friendly features such as a map of Ajman which shows near places, panoramic images of the Emirate, capture the moment features with exclusive filters, voice search availability, the Emirate’s social networking sites updates integration in the application and many other features.

The application is available on the platforms: Visit Ajman in Play Store Android devices and Apple Store for devices running IOS system.
