African Lounge, Riyadh’s latest safari-inspired setting, Makes its Debut

Bringing the magic of Africa to Saudi Arabia, African Lounge is opening at Riyadh’s Flamingo Collection. Part of the new dining destination by Tashas Group – three unique concepts under one roof – African Lounge is an intimate space like no other, drawing inspiration from the continent’s luxury tented safaris in a design-led dining space. 

The epitome of African glamour, African Lounge is the third concept to open at Flamingo Collection – set to launch on 20th November following the successful debut of Flamingo Room by tashas and Collective Africa, a luxury retail concept. The venue sits in the heart of Bujairi Terrace, Diriyah, a buzzing new neighbourhood, and cultural development.

Inviting guests to explore the magic of Africa, African Lounge comprises a canopied indoor lounge area – swathed in safari green with undulating sofas and velvet tasseled armchairs.

Open from 6pm until 12am, guests can unwind in the lounge and enjoy a selection of small plates and sweet treats. Highlights include Grilled Bao and Malay Spiced Butter, Calamari Sosaties, Butternut Curry, and traditional South African Bobotie, while sweet lovers can enjoy desserts that celebrate the sweet fruits and spiced caramel flavours found across the savannahs, deserts, and forests of Africa. A curated list of mocktails complements the offering, championing ingredients found across the continent such as mandarin, peach, rooibos tea, almond, and kalamansi. 

Stirring the soul and capturing the heart by immersing guests into the raw beauty of Africa, Riyadh marks the second opening for the new concept, with the space recently opened at Flamingo Collection in Abu Dhabi located on Al Maryah Island.

African Lounge opens on the 1st December at Flamingo Collection, Bujairi Terrace, Diriyah Gate, Riyadh.
