As part of its ongoing effort to help people achieve more through better health, Abbott was a gold-level sponsor at the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) Annual Conference, that was held in Riyadh from 7-9 November 2017. The conference provided a link between the SFDA and the private and public sectors by fostering scientific dialogue about bettering health care throughout the Kingdom. Through an exhibition, leaders in key fields had the chance to experience Abbott’s innovative and life-changing technologies – from freeing people with diabetes from daily finger pricks to cardiac devices that save lives.

 

Present in the region for more than 75 years, Abbott has introduced new approaches in nutrition, diagnostics, medical devices and branded generic pharmaceuticals and helped create more possibilities for people at all stages of life. Aligned with the Saudi Vision 2030, this conference reinforces long-term cooperation with the Saudi Food and Drug Authority to upgrade the level of health care, saudization of the pharmaceuticals industry and transfer of technology.
