Abbott has continued its support of Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) Annual Conference with a gold sponsorship for the three-day event for the second year. Held in Riyadh from 25-27 September 2018, Abbott’s sponsorship of the annual event is part of its ongoing effort to help people achieve more through better health.

The conference is aimed at giving stakeholders from SFDA, as well as the private and public sectors a common platform to encourage exchange of ideas about improving health care and food and drug standardization across the Kingdom. David Rutledge, Director Global Regulatory for Medical Devices at Abbott, is visiting as a keynote speaker at the event, and will make a presentation on the importance of Post-Market Surveillance, review of clinical evidence, medical device software and the importance of cybersecurity in that context. on the opening day of the conference. During the course of the event, several prominent thought leaders from the food, drug and health care industry will speak on a range of diverse issues pertinent to the Kingdom. As part of the conference Abbott is also set to present its innovative and life-changing technologies that are positively impacting the lives of people across the nation.
