5th Edition Waste Management & Recycling Workshop Jeddah, KSA

The 5th Edition Waste Management & Recycling Workshop held at the Le Meredien Hotel was successfully concluded on the 12th October 2015 in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Workshop was endorsed and supported by The Ministry of Health, KSA and The Royal Commission of Jubail (RC Jubail), KSA who played a vital role in this important workshop that focused on waste management, waste recycling and waste to energy. The welcome address for this workshop was delivered by Dr. Ali Theban a special representative from the Ministry of Health, KSA. The day one of the workshop was chaired by Dr Khaleel Mosleh Althagafi, Assistant Professor, King Abdulaziz University, while the day two of the workshop was chaired by Dr. Akram Hassan, Advisor to the Deputy Mayor of the Holy Makkah Municipality.  

This two day workshop was attended by over 100 participants who witnessed some very interesting presentations, panel discussions and case studies from our panel of expert presenters like Dr. Amir Hassan Mohammed, Advisor to the Director General, General Directorate of Environmental and Occupational Health, Ministry of Health, KSA; Dr Dheya Shuja'a Al-Othmany, Associate Professor Nuclear Engineering Department, King Abdul Aziz University, KSA; Dr. Abdul-Sattar Nizami, Professor, Center of Excellence in Environmental Studies (CEES), King Abdul Aziz University,KSA; Rodney Reynders, Cluster Leader Environment – Greater Middle East and Africa, Tetra Pak, Sweden; Eng. Banan A. Uteir, Engineering Consultant Sepco Environment & Modern Environmental Solutions LLC, KSA and Mr. Alaa M. Alsharif, Founder & CEO Green Kingdom Industries, just to name a few.

Nispana’s Managing Director, Mr. Narendra Kumar said that he would like to thank The Ministry of Health and The Royal Commission of Jubail for their Support towards this workshop which was an initiative by Nispana to ensure that there are faster developments within the waste management and recycling sector across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
