Saudi Arabia, Japan sign 13 deals

Saudi Arabia and Japan signed 13 agreements and memoranda of understanding within the framework of the Saudi-Japan Investment Forum with Japanese entities and companies. 

 

 

 

As reported by the Saudi News Agency,  the signed deals  covered many sectors, most notably water, financial services, telecommunications, and information technology, in addition to energy and healthcare.

 

 

 

Moreover, three major projects were announced in the field of construction technology, tourism, and entertainment.

 

 

 

The forum included presentations, demonstrating and discussing economic cities and special zones, public-private partnership initiatives and opportunities, Japanese cooperation in the Middle East, and the contributions of the Japanese External Trade Authority JETRO to the Saudi-Japanese Vision 2030.

 

 

 

The forum also discussed, through dialogue sessions, the opportunities and potentials available for cooperation between the Kingdom and Japan in the healthcare and water industries, and the role of technology and innovation in enhancing performance and efficiency across these sectors. 

 

 

 

The opportunities for promising partnerships in developing megaprojects in the Kingdom, such as NEOM, the Red Sea, and Qiddiya were also set forth for discussion.

 

 

 

The forum was concluded by talks on the importance of innovation in the space sector.
