At the Annual Turkish Airlines Travel Agencies Awards Ceremony yesterday attended by various important personalities, the National Turkish carrier announced the strong start of 2018, reaching the highest Load Factor with 79.8% in their history. The total number of passengers carried went up by 37% reaching 5.7 million passengers during January 2018.

During the ceremony, Nirvana Travel & Tourism, the leading tour operator of the UAE has been honored with the ‘Best Travel Agent’ in UAE.

 

Hasan Demir, the Turkish Airlines general manager in Abu Dhabi, said: “The Annual Turkish Airlines Awards Ceremony is an important event for us as it gives us the opportunity to thank our loyal partners spread across Abu Dhabi city for their contribution to the success of our business”.

 

 

“After completing 2017 successfully, we are very excited for the year 2018 and have set our targets high. Our new airport in Istanbul is due to open during the third quarter and we should see the benefits of full operations from the fourth quarter onwards. It will be the largest airport in the world, serving about 90 million passengers annually to begin with, and will eventually be able to accommodate 150 million people”, he added.
