Crown Prince meets US treasury secretary

Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, met US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin on the sidelines of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) sessions in Riyadh on Wednesday.



During the meeting, they discussed major economic issues between the Kingdom and the United States in the fields of investment and trade, in addition to reviewing a number of issues of common interest between the two countries. The meeting was attended by Prince Khalid Bin Salman, Saudi ambassador to US.

 

The Crown Prince also met Chairman of Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev. They discussed a number of issues and reviewed bilateral cooperation in the field of investment.

 

The Crown Prince had also separate meetings with Richard Branson, chairman of the Virgin Group; Tong Li, CEO of Bank of China International, and Aditya Mittal, Group CFO and CEO of ArcelorMittal, on the sidelines of FII, being held in Riyadh.


During the meetings, a number of economic issues were discussed, including investment opportunities in accordance with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the future areas of partnership in the Kingdom.
