Designed as an elegant leather envelope organizer, the new Augmented Paper contains a notebook and a StarWalker writing instrument. Made of  elegant black Italian leather with a soft tactile  feel and a sophisticated matt effect, used for the Maison’s  new Urban Spirit leather collection, the Augmented paper organizer is a sleek and stylish object thanks to the highest level of craftsmanship nurtured at the Montblanc Pelletteria in Florence, where century-old traditions and skills bring the spirit of innovation to life. The StarWalker writing instrument that accompanies the Augmented Paper has been specially crafted to include custom-made technology to be exclusively used for this new product.

 

The innovative technology offers best-in-class handwriting recognition in 12 languages including English, German, Russian, Spanish, Italian and Chinese, so that notes written by hand can be seamlessly transferred to a mobile device and translated into digital text for searching, editing and sharing. In addition to the enhanced productivity that comes from digitizing handwritten notes, the Augmented Paper allows for the easy organization of each document at one place without having to collect notebooks. Thousands of notes can be tagged and searched for when using the Montblanc Hub, an application that also features a note-taking function which can be used independently from the Augmented Paper and digitally integrates the writing feeling of a Montblanc pen. Files can be transferred and notes edited when the Augmented Paper is connected, the app can also be used to create digital notes when it is not connected.

 

Independence is one of the key benefits of the organizer thanks to the long battery life that allows up to 8 hours of continuous use and up to a week of regular work use offering the ability to store of up to 100 pages in its internal storage. Unlike a tablet or laptop that can only be accessed when the battery is charged, the digital note serves as a backup to the paper and vice versa.
